During the 2024 U.S. gymnastics championships, Chiles debuted two custom leotards that mirrored the aesthetic of the “Renaissance World Tour.” She told the hosts that after attending the Houston show, she spent hours scrolling through the singer’s Instagram to find the perfect outfits to translate into gymnastics gear. Working with GK Elite, Chiles was able to bring her vision to life, noting that she “melted” and “started crying” when she finally saw the demos.
“This is me. This is who I am. That’s where I got the motto. I’m that girl,” Chiles said during the podcast, referencing the track “I’m That Girl.”
While Chiles wasn’t sure at the time if the singer had seen the leotards, the two had already shared a special moment before the Olympics. Beyoncé sent the gymnast a framed copy of her Cowboy Carter album art with a personalized note written in silver marker. The message from the singer read, “Congrats to you Queen. Always watch you with pride and admiration. Thank you for reppin’ us.” Beyoncé even signed the note, “Love, your twin Beyoncé.”
