Joy Behar reflected on Marjorie Taylor Greene’s appearance on The View on Nov. 6.
While the United States Representative previously was a close ally of President Donald Trump, she’s pulled away from him in recent months. In fact, during her appearance on the talk show, Marjorie said it was “okay” if she wasn’t currently in his good graces, affirming her plan to be critical of politicians on both sides of the aisle regardless of her own Republican Party affiliation.
“First of all, I liked the girl today. She did her job and she didn’t annoy me at all,” Joy said, admitting that’s rare. “I think, this is my theory, I think that she sees the writing on the wall.”
Joy predicted that Marjorie can see that the public’s opinion on Trump is truning. In fact, The View panelist pulled out some stats, which she did not cite a source for, which shows Americans are unhappy with the president’s leadership.
She claimed that “Almost 70% of Americans say that the country is pretty seriously on the wrong track, a majority say the economy has gotten worse under Trump, 59% blame him for inflation, and the Art of the Deal guy can’t make a deal so that 42 million people can get food stamps to feed their kids.
She further explained that she stands by her “district that is a rural, manufacturing district [where] blue-collar workers and people have been crushed by decades of failure in Washington, D.C.” As a result, Marjorie explained she’s not scared of “pointing fingers at everyone.”
The View fans were relieved to see a fresh face in the studio. “It has been a while since The View has had someone with an opposing view. Glad they may be getting back to the intended purpose of the show,” said one fan on X, formerly known as Twitter.
However, some fans were more critical of Marjorie’s appearance, not feeling any authenticity. “Hope y’all don’t fall for that performance,” said another fan.
