Talk about dressing for the part! Julia Roberts arrived at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on Wednesday, August 27, wearing the perfect outfit to promote her upcoming movie, After the Hunt.
Roberts, 57, was photographed at the airport sporting chic black sunglasses, a fashionable handbag, sneakers, a T-shirt, and shorts — with the pièce de résistance: a cardigan covered in director Luca Guadagnino’s face.

Guadagnino, 54, best known for Call Me by Your Name and Challengers, directed and produced After the Hunt. The psychological thriller stars Roberts, Andrew Garfield, Ayo Edebiri, Michael Stuhlbarg, Chloë Sevigny, Thaddea Graham, and Lío Mehiel.
Speaking with Vanity Fair, Guadagnino discussed the importance of making a film like After the Hunt, which follows the story of a Yale professor (Roberts) who discovers that her top student (Edebiri) accuses her friend and colleague (Garfield) of sexual assault.

“The idea that something cannot be said, an idea cannot be used, a reference cannot be brought to light because there is a sort of unspoken impossibility of doing so and a self-censorship — it’s so upsetting to me,” Guadagnino explained.
“In a movie about dynamics of power and control, it was very important that we felt the joy of our expression, without being mindless, but actually being very thoughtful,” he added.
The script, written by Nora Garrett, wasn’t an overnight success. While shopping After the Hunt around Hollywood, she worked as a data analyst for Meta.
“I’ve always been really fascinated by power and power structures and successful people within those power structures,” Garrett told Vanity Fair. “Partially because I was outside of success for so long. I was like, ‘What does one do? What happens to your mentality? What happens to the way you tell stories about yourself when you start getting power, when you start having success?’”
After the Hunt hits theaters on Friday, October 10.
