Toronto’s Kali Horse released their EP 2099 last year, and now, they’ve shared a music video for its track “In Blue.”
The video was shot in two long takes on a Toronto rooftop in the dead of winter. It oscillates between the duo’s Des Das Gupta and Sam Maloney, with an appropriate blue haze surrounding them.
“‘In Blue” is where your heart drops into your stomach, a butterfly effect with razor wings,” the band say of the song in a press release. “There is a nagging knowing that that part of you might need to take a turn in the driver’s seat. Glitching between a scratching breath, a metallic sweat, the need for touch, and self-desolation.”
The video comes right before the band’s SXSW performance at Swan Dive, presented by Exclaim! and Project Nowhere. It also comes ahead of their JUNOFest stint in Hamilton on March 28.
