In the aftermath of the Royals 4-3 loss on Wednesday, Bobby Witt Jr. stood at his locker and took the blame. It was his inability to make a defensive play in the eighth that proved decisive. It’s the standup thing to do in that moment, but to point the finger at Witt in a loss is a bit extreme.
