KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City once again finds itself welcoming a talented group of musicians as autumn rolls into the month of October.
KCK’s new immersive ‘movie theatre’ brings stories to life with a 90’s twist
These aren’t all the shows going down in the metro in October, but here are some of the more notable acts:
Wednesday, October 1
Texas-based rapper That Mexican OT was originally set to play Grinders KC to begin the month, but his KC stop on “The Recess Tour” was rescheduled for Uptown Theater instead.
Thursday, October 2
Rapper Babytron will be in Lawrence, Kansas at the Granda on the second.
Also on the second, alternative country star Waxahatchee will join Missouri native Caleb Hearon at the Uptown Theater for the “Yeehaw!” benefit for KC Tenants.
Friday October 3
Another Missouri native, or “Midwest Princess,” is coming back to KC for a pair of shows during the first weekend of October. Chappell Roan will be at the National WWI Museum and Memorial on the third with guest Japanese Breakfast.
Indie rock outfit Boys Like Girls, popular for their 2006 hit “The Great Escape,” is coming to KC on “The Basements to Bleachers Tour” on the third. They’ll be at Voodoo at Harrah’s Kansas City.
Rounding out a star-studded Friday night in KC is Royel Otis with the “meet me in the car tour” at Uptown Theater.
Saturday, October 4
Chappell Roan will play at the WWI Museum and Memorial again on Saturday. The second show will be with Baby Tate.
Ziggy Marley, the oldest son of the legendary Bob Marley, will be at Grinders KC in the Crossroads on the fourth. He’ll be playing with Spearhead.
Sunday, October 5
Young the Giant, the band behind the hit song “Mind Over Matter,” will be at Uptown Theater on the “In the Open Tour” on the fifth.
Monday, October 6
Garbage, a formative ’90s alt-rock group out of Wisconsin, is in Kansas City at The Midland Theatre on the sixth. Starcrawler is scheduled to open the show.
Tuesday, October 7
Also on the seventh, DJO will be at Grinders KC. The band is fronted by Joe Kerry, popular for his work on the Netflix hit series “Stranger Things.”
Wednesday, October 8
Christian singer Phil Wickham will be at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Missouri on the eighth.
Also on the eighth, shoegaze heavy hitters, Wisp, will be at recordBar in Crossroads.
Rounding out the eighth is alternative pop group Lucius. They’ll be at Liberty Hall in Lawrence.
Saturday, October 11
Rappers G Herbo, Mozzy and others will be at Cable Dahmer Arena on the 11th for “Fall Fest.”
Monday, October 13
Progressive rock group Dream Theater will be at The Midland Theatre in Downtown Kansas City on the 13th.
Australian group Ocean Alley will be at The Truman in Crossroads on the 13th as well.

Tuesday, October 14
In This Moment, a theatrical hard rock band out of LA, will be at The Midland Theatre on the 14th.
Another heavy-hitting band, Kublai Khan TX, will be across town at the Uptown Theater on the 14th, too.
Saturday, October 18
Country music star Travis Tritt will be at Ameristar Casino and Hotel on the 18th.

Popular hip-hop artist Playboi Carti will bring his “Antagonist Tour” to KC’s T-Mobile Center on the 24th.
Also on Friday, country star Warren Zeiders will play at Cable Dahmer Arena.
Alternative-pop artist Cuco will be at The Truman on the 24th.
Saturday, October 25
Indie-rock group Lord Huron will be at Cable Dahmer Arena on the 25th.
Tuesday, October 28
Pop superstar Tate McRae is set to bring her “Miss Possessive Tour” to T-Mobile Center on the 28th.
Uptown Theater will host Lil Tecca, a hip-hop artist, on the 28th as well.

Seether and Daughter are kicking off Halloweekend in Downtown KC with a show at The Midland Theatre.
