In the music video, Karol G and friends dance around a bonfire in Punta Mita, Mexico, raising glasses of tequila. She has described that night as a turning point, one that made her feel “reborn,” surrounded by joy, family, and music.
For her, tequila is tied not just to celebration but also to reflection — “immortalizing a moment,” as she put it in an interview with Food & Wine before a recent Paris performance on her “Totally Crazy!” tour. Even before the Cristalino’s official release, she discreetly shared it at tour stops, using it for private toasts with her team.

Karol G notes that she wanted more than a brand with her name attached. The long timeline and commitment to quality were part of the appeal. “I think I just found the right people to do this,” she said of the Casa Dragones team.
For González Nieves, the partnership aligns with the distillery’s ethos. “We’re explorers in the tequila category. With every inch of inspiration, we get to go on a new journey,” she said, adding that “having the opportunity to create a love letter in the name of a song that became a movement with an incredible global artist… and tell the Latin story together, was like an injection of adrenaline into our hearts.”

Casa Dragones intends for the tequila to be consumed neat or in cocktails. Karol G has said she loves it in Palomas.
Last year, González Nieves brought her production team to one of Karol G’s concerts in Guadalajara. The performance, she said, underscored the parallels between the singer’s work ethic and Casa Dragones’ approach to craft.
As for the tequila itself, González Nieves describes it as part of a “journey of taste.” The Cristalino carries sweet floral and cooked agave notes, layered with subtle citrus, shaped by the custom American Oak used in aging. “We believe that people who love tequila are really coming for those notes,” Nieves said. Karol G has called it a true sipping tequila. “It’s amazing to have the experience of trying the tequila in a different way,” the singer said.
