Kash Patel has refused to disclose who funded his luxury date night with his girlfriend, Alexis Wilkins.
Patel, 46, reportedly attended a George Strait concert in Philadelphia with his 27-year-old girlfriend in 2025, where they watched the show from a luxury private suite.
This comes as it was reported that Wilkins received a security detail made up of elite FBI agents previously assigned to a SWAT team with the FBI field office in Nashville. Patel, who serves as the Trump administration’s FBI Director, claimed the detail was necessary due to alleged threats against Wilkins.
Furthermore, Patel faced backlash after he used a $60 million FBI jet to fly to Penn State University to watch Wilkins perform. However, he’s been pulled up for his hypocrisy after he slammed FBI Director Chris Wray for “running around on private jets.”
On Friday, the New York Times released an article delving into the 46-year-old’s recent travel, as the outlet penned, “FBI policy requires its directors to use government planes for all air travel, personal as well as professional.” However, crucially, the FBI Director would have to reimburse the government for any personal travel.

Nevertheless, questions have been raised about Patel’s “side trips,” which reportedly include “VIP suites for events, leisure activities, or nights out with his girlfriend.”
One of the outings mentioned was a George Strait concert in Philadelphia, where Patel and Alexis traveled on “a Gulfstream V government jet and were spotted in a private suite.” Moreover, sources say that a suite at Lincoln Financial Field, where the concert was being held, can cost between $35,000 and $50,000.
An FBI employee, who attended the concert, confirmed Patel and Wilkins’ presence. A source also said that the FBI flight crew and security detail “collect[ed] overtime pay, until after 11 pm,” with them supposedly waiting for the concert to end before the couple returned by plane to Virginia.
An FBI spokesperson refused to reveal who financed the trip, but he did note that Wilkins was an “invited guest” of the performers.
This comes as Kash Patel faced huge backlash for snorkeling around the Pearl Harbor memorial where 900 people are entombed.
Government emails have revealed Patel took part in a “VIP snorkel” excursion around the USS Arizona Memorial in Hawai’i, which was reportedly coordinated by the military.
The historic battleship, resting at the bottom of Pearl Harbor, serves as the final resting place for more than 900 sailors and Marines.
Swimming around the site is usually prohibited, with only a select few people allowed to enter the water at the memorial. However, additional dives have taken place to lay to rest the remains of Arizona survivors who wished to be eternally reunited with their former shipmates.
