Kate Hudson says she wants to explore different roles
Kate Hudson, who is known for her roles in famous rom-coms, recently revealed she wants to explore different roles.
The 46-year-old singer is recognised for her acting in movies like, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Bride Wars.
The Grammy nominee was recently present at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival where she confessed that working in a romantic-comedy movie is as difficult as working in any other.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kate stated at the event, “I really want to be doing something different. And I think when you become really famous doing that genre, it’s hard for certain filmmakers to see you in anything other than what we’re watching.”
She continued, “These sort of things that like, ‘Well, transforming isn’t what she does’ when, in fact, it’s what I love to do.”
The Talk About Love songstress added that she hopes she would get the opportunity to work more in different movies with different expectations.
She concluded, “This feels like the beginning of maybe that part where I get to do a little bit more transformations than maybe I’ve been able to do in the past.”
Notably, the star was recently nominated for an Oscar for her work in her latest movie, Song Sung Blue.
