Kate Middleton released a moving new video to mark her 44th birthday on Friday.
The Princess of Wales speaks in a voiceover in the clip, which marks the latest ― and last ― video in her “deeply personal” “Mother Nature” series.
In the footage, the camera pans over ice-covered landscapes and video of the royal taking in the winterscape.
“Even in the coldest, darkest season ― winter has a way of bringing us stillness, patience, and quiet consideration,” she says. “Where the stream slows just enough for us to see our own reflection. To discover the deepest parts of ourselves, alongside the whispers and the pulse of every living thing.”
“I find myself reflecting on how deeply grateful I am,” the Princess of Wales added. “For the rivers within us flow with ease. Fears washed away ― cleanse and purify. Come to peace with our tears, and discover what it means to be alive.”
“To be at one with nature. A quiet teacher, and a soft voice that guides. In memory, helping us to heal,” she says as the video concludes.
In a caption accompanying the footage, the royal said that “The Mother Nature series has been a deeply personal, creative reflection on how nature has helped me heal. But it is also a story about the power of nature and creativity in collective healing.”
“There is so much we can learn from mother nature, as we look to build a happier, healthier world,” the Princess of Wales said, signing off on the message with “C,” for her first name, Catherine.
Kate announced publicly in March 2024 that she had been diagnosed with cancer, though she has never revealed what kind.
Just a few months later, the Princess of Wales said that she had completed chemotherapy. She shared that her cancer was in remission in January 2025.
