Influencer Katelynn Ordone is opening up about her return to social media after the death of her son Preston.
“As many of you already know … I’ve had a hard time coming back to social media since losing Preston. I’ve struggled to even pick up my phone to capture new memories, knowing he won’t be in any more of them,” Ordone wrote via Instagram on Saturday, July 11. “It has been 443 days since my baby boy has been in heaven. There have been so many ups and downs, and while I’m still not ready to share everything with the world again just yet, I’ve finally started picking up my phone again and capturing new memories more often.”
She continued, “Even though it’s still hard, I’m grateful I’ve reached this point because I know that’s what Preston would want. I truly believe he wants his mama to continue finding joy until we meet again someday.”
Alongside the message, Ordone shared a series of photos featuring the mom smiling on the beach with an unidentified man.
“So, here’s a new memory I’d like to share with you guys,” she concluded. “I hope to keep sharing more as I’m ready. Thank y’all so much for all the love, support, and grace you’ve shown me through all of this. 🤍.”
Prior to her Saturday post, Ordone shared a tribute for Preston in April, on the one-year anniversary of his death. News broke in April 2025 that Preston died at age 2 in a single-vehicle car crash. Both Preston’s parents, Katelynn and Jaelan Ordone, were in the car at the time of the accident and sustained serious but non-fatal injuries. Preston’s sister, Paisley, was at school when the incident occurred.
One month later, the St. Tammany Parish coroner’s office shared that Preston died from “blunt force injuries due to a motor vehicle crash.” His death was categorized as accidental.
Katelynn shared in July 2025 that she doesn’t have “any memory” of the incident.

“I don’t have any memory of the accident. I don’t have any memory of 2-3 days after the accident,” she said via TikTok at the time. I don’t have much memory of being in the hospital until towards the end. I suffered a traumatic brain injury and lost a lot of my memory.”
Katelynn explained that her dad, Glen Norris, later told her that she had made a call to 911 moments after the crash.
“The accident was awful and somehow I was able to get ahold of my phone,” she explained. “I called 911 first. I was on the phone with them for five minutes. The only reason I know that is because I saw it in my call logs and then my parents have told me that I called them.”
