Rumors have been swirling that Keanu Reeves secretly married longtime girlfriend Alexandra Grant in a small, private wedding — but the artist has put a stop to that speculation.
“This is a real photo. Not an engagement photo or an AI wedding announcement… simply a kiss!” Grant, 52, captioned a sweet photo with the John Wick star, 61, which was posted via Instagram on Wednesday, September 24.
Her caption was in reference to an AI-generated image that began circulating online, which showed the pair in wedding attire showing off their matching rings.
Grant’s photo, however, showed the notoriously private pair sharing a kiss at the Roden Crater in Arizona.
“I’m sharing it here to say thank you to everyone for the congratulations on our wedding. Except we didn’t get married,” she added. “Good news is much needed these days, but it’s still fake news, so be careful out there! So, here’s a bit of real happiness!”
Grant’s announcement was shared one day after a rep for the couple denied the rumors to E! News, saying simply, “It is not true. They are not married.”
While the Speed actor and his partner may not have tied the knot just yet, they have been going strong since 2018.
“I think every single person I knew called me in the first week of November, and that’s fascinating,” Grant joked about going public with their relationship, in a 2020 interview with British Vogue. “But the question I’ve been asking in all of this is: What is the opportunity for good?”
