On their June wedding anniversary, Babygirl actress Nicole shared a brief but heartfelt tribute to her husband on her Instagram page, which he acknowledged only with a red heart emoji.
The country music star is typically known to post romantic messages about his wife, but he neglected to do so on their milestone day this year.
Meanwhile, his inner circle is reportedly unsurprised that their marriage reached its conclusion.
Speaking to People, a source said it “really hasn’t been a secret” that the pair had been “living separately for a while now. “People close to Keith felt like the split was kind of inevitable,” the source added.
The couple, who share daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14, have reportedly grown distant due to their busy careers and a declining level of intimacy.
“Keith never sees Nicole, either she is filming or he is on tour,” a source recently disclosed. “There was a lot of love between the two, and they might not divorce. They’ve been together for decades, so there is a world in which they can reconcile, but the way their pairing is now, they are not a couple.”

Insiders report that Urban initiated the separation due to unhappiness in the marriage.
“The intimacy isn’t there, they are just going through the motions [of being married].
“If this separation gets them back together, that would be amazing, but Keith had to call her out that he isn’t happy,” the source continued to Daily Mail.
Nicole was reportedly “blindsided” by Keith’s sudden decision, but rumors suggest the couple may try to mend their relationship during the holiday season and Urban’s upcoming birthday.
TMZ reported that the singer moved out of the couple’s $4 million Nashville home and into a separate residence in the city.
Sources also suggested the couple’s increasing time apart following the death of Nicole’s mother last September. “They do make an effort to speak every day when they’re apart, but it is shocking how much time they’ve spent apart,” an insider told Woman’s Day.
