Kelly Clarkson’s talk show may be coming to an end, but the “American Idol” alum is still working hard.
Last week Clarkson teased a new single, “I’d Be Lyin’” set to be released July 17. The song will be her first new release since “Where Have You Been” back in May 2025.
Fans in the comments were thrilled for Clarkson’s new music. “We’d be lyin if we said we weren’t excited!!!” one person wrote.
Another added, “Can’t wait to listen!”
The single’s release date coincides with her return to the stage in Las Vegas stage and runs through mid-August.
Clarkson’s eponymous talk show is wrapping up this year, but she won’t be off screens long as she’s also set to return to “The Voice” for season 30, which will premiere September 21.
The 44-year-old announced in February of this year she would be ending her talk show to focus on her children, River Rose and Remy. Their father, Clarkson’s ex Brandon Blackstock, died from cancer last year.
In her announcement on social media, Clarkson assured fans that “this isn’t goodbye” and that she will still be making music, adding, “Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”
She further explained her decision in February on “Today,” saying, “Well, I think everybody probably gets the timing, but yeah, our family life, the dynamic changed a bit and it has changed for a minute now. I think it’s just — you’ve got kids, we’ve all got kids, right? — it’s one of those things when you kinda start seeing life as how precious it is, too.”
