Kelsea Ballerini is releasing her eagerly awaited new single tonight (Friday, November 7th), with the ‘HEARTFIRST’ hitmaker officially kicking off her next musical chapter.
The latest track, ‘I Sit in Parks’, will serve as a sneak preview ahead of Ballerini’s new EP, Mount Pleasant. The Knoxville native has been teasing a major announcement throughout the week, sprinkling a range of park-themed imagery across socials.
After a cryptic clip of the country chart-topper swinging in a field, alongside the caption, “I sit in parks”, we’ve now got confirmation this is the name of Ballerini’s new single.
Excitingly, we’re getting more than just a standalone song, with Ballerini’s Mount Pleasant EP dropping on Friday, November 14th. It’ll feature six songs, including the lead single, ‘I Sit in Parks’, as well as a selection of brand new tracks, ‘People Pleaser’, ‘Emerald City’, ‘587’, ‘The Revisionist’ and ‘Check On Your Friends’.
Given how enchanting Ballerini’s two previous records, PATTERNS and Rolling Up The Welcome Mat (For Good) have been, we can’t wait to hear this latest body of work.
We’re also keeping our fingers crossed that Ballerini eventually expands Mount Pleasant into a full-length studio album, which will hopefully see the arrival of the ‘half of my hometown’ singer-songwriter’s long-awaited unreleased song, ’The Garden’.
