Kevin Federline voices concern over Britney Spears’ ‘erratic behavior’ – Celebrity News – Entertainment

Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline is soon to launch his memoir, in which he will lift the lid on his “dark relationship” with the pop star.

Kevin’s memoir titled ‘You Thought You Knew,’ is slated to hit bookshelves this month on Oct. 21. There has been growing interest in the contents of his upcoming novel as he’s already released snippets regarding his high-profile marriage to Britney. 

Since the news of Kevin’s memoir broke, the Toxic hitmaker’s family has expressed their own concerns, sharing that Britney is reportedly “living on the edge mentally,” and the contents of Kevin’s novel could potentially make her “spiral.”

According to People, in one snippet of Kevin’s forthcoming book, the DJ claimed that Britney has exhibited some troubling behaviors that have been flagged to him by their shared sons.

Kevin claimed that his kids told him that they would sometimes lie awake at night and see their mother standing in their doorway holding a knife in her hand as she watched them sleep.

Britney’s representatives have since responded to these claims telling Entertainment Weekly, “With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin. All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir [The Woman in Me].”

The former couple was previously married from 2004 to 2007, during which they got married in September 2004 and later welcomed their two sons, including Sean Preston and Jayden James. Despite Kevin’s concerns for his ex, he claims that they have not spoken in years.

Elsewhere in the novel, Kevin discussed the “Free Britney Movement.” In 2020, this was a social movement calling for the termination of Britney’s 13-year-old conservatorship underneath the hand of her father Jamie.

And while Kevin recognized that this movement came from a “good place,” he claims that it became harmful to both Britney and their family. He instead is calling for a “Save Britney” movement.

He wrote, “All those people who put so much effort into that should now put the same energy into the ‘Save Britney’ movement. Because this is no longer about freedom. It’s about survival. Now, more than ever, [our children] need your support. I’ve been their buffer for years, but now it’s bigger than me. It’s time to sound the alarm.”
