Projects include an adaptation of Duff Wilson’s Pulitzer finalist eco-thriller Fateful Harvest, penned by Daniel Stiepleman (On the Basis of Sex). Based on a Seattle Times investigative series reported by Wilson that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, Fateful Harvest tells the story of Patty Martin — the mayor of a small Washington town called Quincy — who discovers American industries are dumping toxic waste into farmers’ fields and home gardens by labeling it “fertilizer.”
There’s also Box No. 1, a feature drama about the cover-up of love letters between Eleanor Roosevelt and journalist Lorena “Hick” Hickok, which TomKat’s Marcela Davison Aviles is scripting.
