Kim Dahyun shines on 'Korea-Japan Top 10 Show' with 'Dancing Hero' performance and new music release

Spotlight moment

Kim Dahyun lit up the latest broadcast of ‘Korea-Japan Top 10 Show‘ with a surprise stage to the Japanese cover of ‘Eat You Up‘, known as ‘Dancing Hero‘, drawing cheers as she fused live vocals with crisp choreography and a standout waacking segment that underlined her versatility as a true “dancing queen.” The episode aired as a special gala edition marking roughly 456 days since the program’s launch, with 200 in-person attendees amplifying the celebratory mood during the mid-journey check-in showcase.

What she delivered on stage

Her dance break and waacking lines were highlighted as a “hidden” strength, complementing a polished vocal display that balanced power and poise throughout the number. Fellow performer Jeon Yoo-jin noted that Dahyun’s lines have refined and her stage aura felt more elegant, while her duet of ‘Jjarajajja’ with My Jin revealed a softer charm through lilting phrasing and light, rhythmic steps.

Parallel to the gala spotlight, Kim Dahyun recently released the traditional single ‘Thousand Love’, a project rooted in Gyeongju’s heritage with a music video filmed at Cheomseongdae, Bulguksa, Donggung & Wolji, and the Tomb of King Muyeol, aligned with promoting the 2025 Gyeongju APEC. The track pairs poet Kang Won-seok’s lyrics inspired by the Asadal-Asanyeo legend with composer Choo Ga-yeol’s melody, blending mournful melodic arcs with expansive orchestration-positioning Dahyun to carry that pathos to autumn festival stages nationwide.
