Kim Kardashian is standing by daughter North West’s edgy fashion choices.
On October 14, the Skims designer, 44, told Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper that she fully supports 12-year-old North’s love of fashion, even when it stirs controversy.
“I’m like, ‘Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is,’” Kardashian said. “It makes her so happy. I would never take that creativity away from her.”
“It’s really hard because all the kids [North’s age] are wearing the same things,” the reality star shared.
The proud mom admits that learning from North’s fashion missteps in real time is tough because of the increased scrutiny that comes from the pre-teen being in the public eye.
“I’m like, ‘Okay, we’re never wearing that again,’” she explained. “Unfortunately, we made that mistake in front of the whole world.”

As Globe previously reported, Kardashian recently came under fire after North wore a black corset and mini skirt during a family trip to Rome.
Perhaps no one was seeing more red about the grown-up look than her ex-husband, Kanye West. An insider told Globe that West, 48, was “not happy” about the look, ranting that North was “way too young to be parading around like this,” and threatening to “raise hell with the lawyers” over Kim’s parenting choices.
Still, Kardashian hopes that everyone will chill when it comes to North’s fashion choices.
“I just urge everyone to like, not be judgmental and to have grace on single moms trying to figure it all out with, like, you know, a pre-teen,” she told Cooper. “It’s a lot. If you know, you know.”
