King Charles and Prince William joined forces as they appeared together at the Natural History Museum on Thursday night.
The father and son united their passion for environmentalism as they headlined a major gathering that’s setting the stage for next month’s COP30 summit in Brazil.
Charles and William joined changemakers from around the globe at this special event, organised by the museum and the UK Government.
Before entering the historic building, the King and Prince of Wales stood shoulder to shoulder on the steps of the museum.
Thursday’s summit comes just six weeks before world leaders meet in Belém for crucial climate talks.
The gathering brings together climate ambassadors from across the world, including a Brazilian delegation representing the host nation for this year’s conference on global climate action.
During their visit, the royals explored photography from the Woodland Trust and sat down with business and finance leaders who are working to safeguard forests and woodlands both here in Britain and internationally.
The King and Prince William also met Antonio de Aguiar Patriota, Brazil’s Ambassador to the UK, along with Alexandre Padilha, the country’s Minister of Health, who are both in London representing Brazil as it prepares to host COP30.

The two most senior royals were offered an opportunity to hear directly from those at the forefront of forest protection efforts and engage with key figures from the summit’s host nation.
The central London museum’s famous Hintze Hall is also showcasing cutting-edge British solutions to our planet’s climate and nature challenges.
It highlights contributions from businesses, scientists and environmental charities.
After tonight, visitors will be able to watch several compelling films about protecting the planet, including Prince William’s Guardians series.
The project was launched by the Prince of Wales this year and celebrates rangers who protect endangered flora and fauna.

Also featured will be a film on King titled: The Speeches: 50 Years of Speaking Up for the Planet.
The project traces the King’s environmental advocacy through his speeches across the decades.
For over fifty years, the King has championed sustainability and highlighted how humanity and nature are fundamentally connected.
He has also founded groups like the Sustainable Markets Initiative and delivered landmark speeches at COP summits that have influenced how we understand environmental challenges and their solutions.

Prince William shares this dedication, supporting various conservation charities and creating The Earthshot Prize in 2020 – a global platform that finds and scales innovative solutions to heal our planet.
Earlier this month, he announced the 15 finalists who will travel with him to Brazil where a five projects will be selected to receive a £1million grant to fund their conservationist projects.
