King Charles is at a space campus amid his royal Oxfordshire tour.
After visiting the Stephen A. Schwarzman Centre in Oxford this morning, His Majesty has gone to the Harwell Campus near Didcot to inspect its space facilities.
Home to over 260 organisations with more than 7,500 people working there, the campus includes experts on space, defence, health, energy and quantum.

The King will see satellite testing and development facilities at RAL Space, the UK’s National Space Laboratory within Harwell Campus, before formally opening the new UK Space and Defence Gateway.
He will be welcomed by Dr Barbara Ghinelli, director of innovation clusters and Harwell Campus, and will see space science instrumentation under development and view chambers where spacecraft are tested.
His Majesty will view a space showcase and meet a selection of UK Space and Defence Gateway partners based at Harwell, including Astroscale and Oxford Space Systems.

As is traditional with royal visits, King Charles will unveil a plaque to mark the establishment of the new UK Space and Defence Gateway, a new dedicated hub for national and global collaboration between government, academia, innovators and industry.
This comes after he went to the Stephen A. Schwarzman Centre where he met the university’s chancellor, Lord William Hague, and businessman Stephen Schwarzman, who contributed £185m to the centre’s development.
Located in the Radcliffe Observatory Quarter on Woodstock Road, the centre is to become the home for the new institute for Ethics in AI, as well as nine university faculties including English, History, Music, Linguistics, Philosophy and Modern and Medieval Languages.
