With Christmas coming up, the royal family is preparing for the festivities. According to royal correspondent Richard Palmer, “The King’s speech, the big gathering at Sandringham and the family’s walk to church on Christmas Day,” will be followed this year as well. Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, along with the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, are expected to gather at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk to celebrate the day with everyone.
Even Lady Louise Windsor and James, Earl of Wessex, Anne, Princess Royal, and her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, are expected to join the festivity. Zara and Mike Tindall and their three children, along with Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and their families, will also hopefully be part of the grand day.
However, it seems Prince Harry might not be invited to the royal Christmas due to their unresolved rift. “A Skype call is probably a more realistic option,” Palmer revealed to the Mirror. “It’s too soon for Harry and Meghan to attend an event like the royal Christmas when there’s so much still to sort out.”
Even royal commentator and author Katie Nicholl believes that the Sussexes might not be part of the Christmas at Sandringham. “The initial step of reconciliation between Harry and his father will hopefully lead to something meaningful in future,” Nicholl noted. However, she is “not sure everyone’s as willing to welcome Harry in from the cold just yet.”
