King Charles’s famous bodyguard has quietly retired after the latest state visit to the US, reports have claimed. The well-liked bodyguard, who’s become viral online for his distinguished beard, accompanied the King and Queen to the US, which was his final assignment.
He is said to have played a “crucial part” in keeping the King and Queen safe during their trip across the pond, as per The Times. The bodyguard, whose identity has never been revealed by the Palace, has been pictured with the King at several events.
He first gained popularity among the public following the late Queen’s death in 2022, and has since joined the royals on various events, including Royal Ascot.
The newspaper claimed the US was his last assignment with the King and Queen before he retired.
However, the monarch is understood to have asked him to continue to work with the Royal Household in the future,

The unnamed guardian sparked a right royal frenzy with each appearance, with some fans comparing him to Harry Hart, Colin Firth’s spy character in the Kingsman films. Royal fans took to social media to thank him for his service following the news.
