The “King of the Hill” revival at Hulu has been renewed for two more seasons, Variety has learned.
The renewal will bring the show to its 17th season, with each new season to consist of 10 episodes. Hulu had originally picked up 20 episodes of the series back in 2023, with the first batch of 10 episodes debuting as Season 14 earlier this year. Season 15 will debut in 2026.

Season 14 debuted to strong reviews from fans and critics. The newest season of the series holds a 98% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while it also debuted at the number two spot on the Nielsen Top 10 streaming chart. Per Disney, the series has crossed 1 billion hours streamed globally across Hulu and Disney+.
The revival brought back most of the original cast of the series, including series co-creator Mike Judge as well as Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, the late Johnny Hardwick, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, and Toby Huss. With Hardwick’s death, Huss has taken over voicing the character Dale Gribble.
In the new episodes, Hank and Peggy Hill return to Arlen after years away in Saudi Arabia, where Hank worked for the Aramco oil company as the “assistant manager in charge of Arabian propane and Arabian propane accessories.” Plenty has changed, but the old Rainey Street gang is still there to offer their spin on modern America.
Judge and fellow co-creator Greg Daniels executive produce the new seasons along with showrunner Saladin Patterson. 3 Arts’ Michael Rotenberg and Howard Klein executive produce, as does Bandera Entertainment’s Dustin Davis. 20th Television Animation is the studio.
In an interview with Variety, Patterson spoke about why now was the right time to bring back the Hills and their approach to the world.
“Hank always represented such a commonsense, practical approach to cultural things and societal things,” he said. “Whether it leaned left of middle or right of middle, it always was something that was respectful and made sense.”
