CINCINNATI — The longtime Kings Island attraction Boo Blasters on Boo Hill closed for good last fall, and the amusement park said the public will now have the chance to collect some mementos from the ride.
Kings Island said it will host an online auction starting Monday, March 16 through Friday, March 27. It will feature props from the ride, such as set pieces, themed directional signage and dimensional characters. It’ll include some of the more recognizable items, including life-sized medieval knights, formerly animated ghosts and gravestones.
“This is an incredible way for park fans to pay their final respects to the former ride and own a piece of Kings Island history,” said Steve Ryan, director of retail at Kings Island. “From the ride’s most well-known scenes to signage, props and more, Boo Blasters on Boo Hill can live on inside the homes of its devoted riders.”
Potential buyers can bid as often as they want, but the highest bidders will be chosen. Auction winners will be notified through email to complete their purchase.
Ahead of the auction, the public can view the catalog of items online.
Boo Blasters on Boo Hill came to an end on Sept. 1, 2025, to make room for the all-new Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare interactive family dark ride, coming this spring. As the story went, Boo Castles get taken over by the wicked “Boocifer” and quickly became a haunted haven full of ghouls of all kinds. Guests helped capture Boocifer in this dark underworld ride to help restore Boo Hill to normalcy.
“Since 2010, the young and young-at-heart have created cherished memories working together to blast whimsical ghosts, ghouls and goblins back to the underworld on this classic indoor attraction,” the park wrote on Facebook.
