Kristen Bell’s Instagram post has created quite a buzz since last week. According to a source, the actor is scared of losing her career over it. Reportedly, she has been “terrified” of the backlash and negative comments that have seemingly changed the tone of her wedding anniversary post.

Last week, the 45-year-old shared a photo with her husband, Dax Shepard, and celebrated their 12th anniversary. However, things got worse when viewers labeled her supposedly “dark humor” as “insensitive.”

Kristen Bell fears her Instagram post could ruin everything she has built, says source

Kristen Bell’s career might take a hit because of her latest Instagram post. While it was a wedding anniversary post for her husband, Dax Shepard, the caption received hate from netizens. Meanwhile, a source told Rob Shuter, “She’s terrified one stupid comment could destroy everything she’s built.”

On October 17, the “Frozen” star posted a photo of her hugging Shepard on a bed. In the caption, she wished him and mentioned a quote, claiming that he once said it to her. It read, “I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point. Even though I’m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.”

While Bell assumed it to be funny, online users called her “tone deaf” and “insensitive” in the comments. Reportedly, things escalated because of the timing of the post. She shared it during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, which gave a different meaning to the quote.

Furthermore, the backlash seemed to have scared the “Good Place” alum. The insider told Shuter that she has been known as “America’s sweetheart,” and thus, the incident has “hit her hard.” It reportedly affected her as Bell canceled interviews and pulled out of her scheduled appearance on the “Today” show.

“She’s shaken and hiding with Dax and the kids,” one friend claimed. The “Nobody Wants This” actor has seemingly been afraid to say anything else. “She’s praying this storm blows over — fast,” a source added.
