Chris Martin insisted Coldplay’s Jumbotron kiss cam will remain part of the band’s tour, despite the scandal where they appeared to expose an affair.

Kristin Cabot has her sights set on the future, one that does not include former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron.
In a March 17 interview with “The Oprah Podcast,” Cabot opened up about the viral moment, dubbed the “Coldplay Kiss Cam” incident, that upended her and her family’s life and shared an update about her relationship with Byron.
“I ended my communication with Andy in midfall. There was a big miss on honesty and integrity,” Cabot told Oprah. “I don’t… he didn’t, he wasn’t the person he represented himself to be to me and lying is not a non-negotiable for me.”
Shortly after the pair was thrust into the spotlight after being caught in an embrace by Coldplay’s “kiss cam” at a July 2025 concert, rumors that they were having an affair quickly spread like wildfire after frontman Chris Martin joked that “they’re having an affair,” or were “just very shy.”
Byron tendered his resignation, with Cabot following suit, in the days after the clip went viral.
Cabot, who broke silence in a Dec. 18 interview with The New York Times, revealed that she was doxxed, saying she received hundreds of phone calls, death threats and verbal harassment while out in public in the days and weeks to follow.
“But I was left holding the bag and I don’t, you know, being the one that was attacked for this, with you know, he’s remained silent,” Cabot said. “To me, that’s not a quality I would look for in a friend or a partner or a boss. So, we have no relationship now.”
Andy Byron wasn’t as ‘honest as he could have been,’ Cabot says
Cabot, who was under the impression Byron was also separated, told Winfrey he “missed the mark on being as honest as he could have been with me.” Byron has not addressed the incident publicly.
Cabot previously told the Times that the concert was the first time her relationship with Byron had crossed over into anything romantic. She found out, over lunch in 2025, that she and Byron were going through separations from their respective spouses.
Cabot was separated from her husband and going through divorce proceedings at the time. She said she and Byron had never even kissed before concert, much less had a sexual relationship like some assumed.
After a few drinks, the pair got swept up in the moment, one that was initially shattered when she saw herself on the Jumbotron and again on social media.
“I want to be really clear careful because the world spoke for me and on my behalf and I don’t want to do that to somebody else and their family. I don’t feel comfortable,” Cabot said. “But I will say like a lot of what was represented to me was not true.”
Cabot, who said she has struggled to find work post the “Coldplay Kiss Cam” incident, believes the “entire trajectory” of the situation would’ve been different if Byron had issued a quick statement, just like her husband Andrew did.
“But it didn’t matter… It was great that Andrew did that, but I was still left with… the tone changed a little bit,” Cabot said. “Okay, she was separated but he wasn’t. So, she’s still a homewrecker.”
