Lady A’s Charles Kelley is a dad of two!

The 43-year-old country singer and wife Cassie, 42, welcomed their second baby together, son Archer Lancaster Kelley, a rep for the couple exclusively shares with PEOPLE. The couple’s newest addition, who entered the world weighing 6 lbs., 11 oz., joins their 9-year-old son Ward.

“Our little miracle Archer Lancaster Kelley arrived at 11:14 am on September 16 and we are absolutely in love,” he tells PEOPLE. “We are so thankful to get to be his mom and dad, and to share the joy with his big brother, Ward, who is over the moon!”

The couple first shared the exciting news that they were expecting again in a surprise post on their Instagrams on March 25.

In a carousel of photos taken by Mary Craven Dawkins, Cassie could be seen wearing an off-the-shoulder green dress, which accentuated her growing belly as she posed with her husband and their son, Ward.

“Biggest surprise of our lives! Baby Kelley coming early fall 2025 🍼👶🏻🤰🏼 Big brother is the MOST excited 💛💛💛 @charleskelley photos: @marycravenphotography,” the couple wrote in their caption.

Cassie shared tons of updates about her pregnancy along the way, including in September, when she shared footage of her floral-themed baby brunch to Instagram.

In one photo shared to her Instagram Stories, the soon-to-be-mom-of-two could be seen hugging Ward as she posed in a dark green dress that accentuated her bump.

“My (not so) little angel,” she captioned the photo.

Other photos from the occasion showed the yellow and green floral table settings for her baby brunch.

In late August, she shared shared footage of herself setting up the nursery for their newborn, filling the chic bedroom with gingham prints, a vintage-inspired crib, and tons of baby clothes.

Another post shared to Cassie’s Instagram in early September featured photos taken during her pregnancy. She could be seen posing poolside, on a European vacation, in her pajamas and more as she wrote about the excitement she and the Lady A star felt as they prepared to become parents for a second time.

“The summer I spent carrying you 💙,” she wrote in the caption. “All over the world, with friends, with family, with ocean breezes and cityscapes, celebrating and grieving, sharing laughter and long stories. But no matter where i was or who i was with…I was always with you, buddy. Can’t wait for you to be here and I’ll never forget our summer together (and all of our outfits haha) 🙏🏻💙👶🏻.”

Charles and Cassie have been open about their struggles in the past, welcoming Ward in 2016 after years of fertility issues.

In recent months, the Lady A vocalist has also been candid about his struggles with sobriety — and told PEOPLE in March that his new album, Songs for a New Moon, was inspired by his older son and wife.

“She’s the reason that I got sober,” the Grammy-winning artist said of Cassie, whom he married in July 2009. “She had so much grace for me and went along through the journey with me doing all the work, and I could go so far as to say there’s no way she would’ve stayed with me if I had not gotten sober.”

“When you’re lost, you will find me, time after time — I don’t think about some relationship when I sing that song,” Kelley added of his “Time After Time” cover. But that one isn’t necessarily for Cassie. Rather, that one is for their son, Ward.

“I’ll always love you. I’ll always be there. This is, to me, a song for my kid.”
