Dark Wave / Light Room: The Acadiana Center for the Arts’ fall main gallery exhibition features regional artists using limited monochrome palettes to emphasize line, form, texture and tonal shifts, revealing unexpected depth and richness in their work. The exhibition is on view from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday at the Acadiana Center for the Arts, 101 W. Vermilion St., Lafayette.
George Rodrigue: Works 1965-2000: AcA ArtHouse, Mallia Galeria and Circle Gallery are open to the public at the Acadiana Center for the Arts, showcasing rotating exhibitions by regional and visiting artists. Galleries are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday at 101 W. Vermilion St., Lafayette.
Inner Anguish, Severed In Sleep, Hollow Outcomes, & Slow The Knife: Live music comes to The Loose Caboose at 201 McKinley St. in Lafayette, with doors opening for a 7 p.m. show and a $10 cover.
Saturday, Jan. 10
2A Events Gun & Knife Show: A buy-sell-trade event invites attendees to browse hundreds of displays featuring new and vintage firearms, ammunition, parts, books, knives, jewelry, camouflage, militaria and related items at discounted prices. The event takes place at 4607 Johnston St. in Lafayette, with admission $10 for adults, $2 for children ages 6–11, and minors under 18 admitted only with a parent.
