Country music sensation Lainey Wilson is currently on her “Whirlwind World Tour,” and a whirlwind it has become after Wilson had to cancel a show.
On Sept. 20, the “Watermelon Moonshine” singer was supposed to perform at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands, Texas. That show has now been postponed.
According to Fox26 in Houston, Wilson shared a tearful Instagram post explaining that her voice is part of the reason for the cancellation.
“I was hoping that I would have a voice by showtime, but the truth is, it’s only gotten worse, and I want to give y’all the best show that I possibly can,” Wilson said. “My vocal coach advised me to reschedule tonight’s show.”
Wilson also offered her apologies to fans for the cancellation.
“Just please know that I’m deeply sorry for any inconvenience that it has caused to you or your family,” Wilson said. “I will be back to make it up to y’all on November 1.”
The Woodlands Pavilion took to Instagram to back up Wilson’s post and reassured fans that their tickets are still good.
“Lainey Wilson’s show at The Pavilion tonight has been rescheduled to Saturday, November 1,” the post reads. “All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date.”
Wilson’s tour is expected to run through November with the last show being in Orlando, Florida. She is most known for songs like “Heart Like a Truck,” “Things A Man Oughta Know” and “4x4xU.”
