Lana del Rey has entered the James Bond universe, releasing the theme song for the 007: First Light video game from IO Interactive and Amazon MGM Studios.
The sultry song teams Del Rey with five-time Bond film composer David Arnold for the game’s soundtrack.
Arnold has previously worked on Bond films like Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999), Die Another Day (2002), Casino Royale (2006), and Quantum of Solace (2008).
“The music of James Bond has always been a huge part of its identity,” Arnold said in a statement. “A title song has to tell us about the world we are about to enter into. It has to intrigue, excite, and beckon us in. This song joins a long line of genre defining songs, each one creating a benchmark of style that adds to the magnificent heritage that is ‘The Bond Song’. That’s why I was so excited to work with Lana, an artist who brought elegance, atmosphere, and her totally unique character to this piece, which I hope will open the world of Bond to a whole new audience.”
007: First Light‘s official title sequence with Del Rey’s theme song will be revealed on Friday, April 17, at 3 p.m. ET / 12 p.m. PST.
The video game was previewed during PlayStation‘s 2025 State of Play in September. Dexter: Original Sin star Patrick Gibson stars as the 007 agent in his early days at MI6. Gibson will be joined by other actors voicing characters, including Lennie James (Greenway), Priyanga Burford (M), Alastair Mackenzie (Q), Kiera Lester (Moneypenny), and Noémie Nakai (Ms. Roth).
007: First Light was expected to be released on March 27, 2026, but will now instead be available on May 27, 2026, the release date that the much-deleayed GTA6 was initially supposed to drop.
