He will join the likes of Michelle Obama, Aubrey Plaza, Seth Meyers, Martin Short and Tina Fey who have appeared on the show since its March 2025 launch.
Poehler teased Groff’s appearance in an Instagram post Monday.
Groff grew up in Lancaster County and graduated from Conestoga Valley High School. He’s earned a Tony Award and a Grammy Award for his work on and off stage. His roles include King George III in the original production of “Hamilton,” Franklin Shepard in “Merrily We Roll Along” and the voices of Kristoff and Sven in the “Frozen” franchise.
The podcast features Poehler interviewing her guests about their careers and everyday lives. She also speaks with someone who knows the guest personally to gather insight.
“This is an attempt to try to make a very rough and unkind world filled with a little bit more love and laughter and laughing with people, not at them,” Poehler said in her Golden Globe acceptance speech. “And we just have such a good time making it.”
“Good Hang” releases weekly on Tuesdays, along with a video version of the podcast on its YouTube.
