Life isn’t quite imitating art for Kim Kardashian.

After taking the California bar exam in July, Kardashian revealed her test results in an Instagram post on Saturday, writing, “I’m not a lawyer yet.”

More from Rolling Stone

“Well…I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV,” Kardashian, who stars as a high-powered divorce attorney on Ryan Murphy’s All’s Fair. “Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up – just more studying and even more determination.”

“Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me along the way so far. Failing short isn’t failure – it’s fuel. I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivated me even more. Let’s go!” she added.

The California bar exam is given just twice a year and consists of five one-hour essay questions, one 90-minute performance test, and 200 multiple-choice questions. Approximately 16,000 people take the exam each year.

Over the past few years, Kardashian has been open about her desire to pursue a career in law, having previously passed California’s “baby bar” exam and graduating from law school in May after six years of legal training.

While pursuing her ultimate goal of becoming a practicing attorney, Kardashian has also become an advocate for criminal justice reform. She successfully lobbied President Donald Trump during his first term and met with him and several women whose prison sentences he commuted. In April 2024, she returned to the White House for a roundtable discussion with then-Vice President Kamala Harris and recently pardoned former inmates, to discuss criminal justice reform.

Her journey has also been chronicled on The Kardashians, with the most recent season featuring Kardashian studying for the bar exam in between takes while filming All’s Fair.
