Fans of creator Taylor Sheridan’s signature style of television have been not-so-patiently-waiting for months to see their favorite characters return to the small screen. While the moment isn’t quite here yet, we are rapidly approaching Taylor Sheridan Fall, with multiple Sheridan-verse shows making a return before we wave goodbye to 2025.
Not least among them, the hotly anticipated return of the hit drama Landman, which is set to debut its second season this December (the return was originally set for November but was recently pushed back for unknown reasons). Though Paramount has yet to announce an official premiere date, the show is clearly moving in the right direction, as star Ali Larter recently shared that filming has wrapped on the series’s second outing.
“That’s a wrap for Season 2 of Landman!” The actress, who plays the mercurial wife of Billy Bob Thornton’s Tommy Norris on the series, shared on her Instagram along with a duo of photos framed by the setting sun. “Our incredible cast and crew is playing at the top of their game. You can feel all the time, effort, love, laughter, and dedication that goes into making our show so special. I’m so thankful to be a part of this and can’t wait to share it with you…”
The news is in keeping with previous word that the production planned to wrap in August, putting the show on track to its premiere.
Inspired by the cutthroat world of West Texas oil drilling, the series centers on the lives of Thornton’s Norris and his family, including Larter’s Angela, their daughter Aynsley (played by 1923’s Michelle Randolph), and son Cooper (Jacob Lofland), as they earn their living among a complicated network of billionaires, drug cartels, lawyer, and roughnecks.
