LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Las Vegas tourism ticked up in May thanks in part to some major music events and playoff hockey.
There were about 3.49 million visitors last month, according to figures from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. That number is up 2% compared to May last year.
It’s the third calendar month of 2026 to see year-over-year gains from 2025’s slumping visitor volume.
The LVCVA credited the sold-out EDC at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, four concerts with Kpop supergroup BTS at Allegiant Stadium, and a month of Stanley Cup Playoff hockey with the Vegas Golden Knights.
Convention attendance also surged 14.7%, up to 586,300. New shows held this month included the Sweets and Snacks Expo and CHAMPS Trade Show, and recurring shows were Knowledge, ICSC Las Vegas and Licensing International Expo.
