Latto and Ice Spice have flipped the script on their own storyline. After months of subliminals, spicy interviews, and a fan-fueled rivalry that played out online and on wax, the two rap stars have officially called a truce through music.
Big Latto and Ice dropped their first-ever collaboration, “Gyatt,” today (Sept. 4), and its accompanying music video arrives at midnight (Sept. 5). In the cover art for the track, the two appear to be in a wrestling ring as the title is written in WWE-inspired lettering.
So far, many netizens have dubbed the song as some of Ice’s “best rapping” and have applauded the women for squashing their “beef” in a mature manner. “ice spice’s verse on gyatt is actually fire! this new flow might just revive her career,” wrote one person on X as another said, “The slid actually … and Ice Spice… this has to be your best rapping on a record. I was actually surprised… This is was a solid record and Latto just keeps getting better with switching up her style.”
On the track, the Bronx star raps, “Hoppin’ out with that gyatt/I’m a bad bi**h, always poutin’/Ni**as be so damn thirsty, tryna jump head first in this fountain.” Whereas, the Atlanta sensation spits, “Since elementary, bi**hes said I think I’m all that/My man be gassin’ me, he puttin’ a battery in my back/I shi*t on ho*s for sure, but I ain’t into the scat/I turn around and thick sh*t has entered the chat.”

For those who haven’t been keeping score, the tension between Latto and Ice Spice began last year when fans first pitted the women against each other for having similar Y2K styles. Ice Spice was credited for helping to bring back the style, while Latto was accused of copying her.
The ongoing comparison of the two turned into an internet frenzy that snowballed into lyrical jabs and shade across interviews and social media.
