Iconic singer Laufey is all set and ready for her latest release, ‘A Matter of Time’. The artist is experimenting with music and sharing a “darker side” of herself with fans, hoping that they’ll accept the new look.In her latest interview, she shared her thoughts on the album’s release and what she is looking forward to.Laufey talks about new album and other thingsIn an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the star singer shared how she has been looking forward to the album, due to the fact that it explores a deeper “darker” side of her.She shared her excitement over the matter and even talked about having qualms over whether the fans would like it or not. “The world has come to know me as this fairly soft-spoken, buttoned-up girl that dances down the street with ribbons in her hair, and I totally am that, but I also can be angry and anxious as well,” she shared.The album consists of a total of 14 songs, and with it, the artist hopes to “let out” all of the emotions that she usually keeps hidden due to her personality. She also shared that, “I think with this album, I just want to let them out a little bit. I wanted to show the world the rest of me”.

While talking about the album, she shared that it is essentially about love. Labeling it as “the overthinker’s guide to love,” she shared that it depicts the moment of self-discovery that comes after a person falls in love. She also shared which song from her new album is her favourite, sharing that ‘Sabatoge’ was the song she used to represent anxiety.She shared that the song is a balance of poised and correct, as well as chaos, as the song consists of both a beautiful piano ballad, as well as content that represents the “absolute mess” on the inside.
