These days, everybody is dressing up for the airport again, and while the stars have a variety of approaches to their in-flight looks, it appears Lindsay Lohan went the method-dressing route as she landed back in the United States on Wednesday afternoon.
The Mean Girls star was seen arriving in New York City with her husband, Bader Shammas, and their two-year-old son, Luai, after leaving their home in Dubai earlier this week amid increasing tensions and war strikes between Iran and other Middle Eastern countries like the UAE. But despite the circumstances, Lohan seemed in good spirits as she walked throughout the airport, looking like the picture of Americana in a couple of Western-winking pieces.
Over the last year, we’ve seen scarves incorporated into designer collections and celebrity street style in all kinds of unusual ways, but here, Lohan kept it simple, tapping into the Western style craze with a beige paisley bandana tied around her neck.
For the rest of her ensemble, the Freakier Friday star wore a burgundy leather bomber layered over a white tee and paired with black track pants with a white stripe on each side, courtesy of Los Angeles-based brand, Splits59 (another wink to the U.S.).
She accessorized with a pair of black sneakers, which appeared to On Cloudnovas, and she popped on a pair of oval black sunglasses. Finally, Lohan wore a black baseball cap embroidered with a Porsche patch, a touch that personally took me back to her car-racing days when she played Maggie Peyton in Herbie: Fully Loaded.
Perhaps it’s time to revive the film series and get Lohan behind the wheel again. I certainly need a new project from her, pronto.
