The magazine also picked up four other awards, for art and photography, TV/film and business
The 18th National Arts and Entertainment Journalism Awards, hosted by the LA Press Club, took place last night in Downtown L.A. Los Angeles magazine walked away with five awards, which recognize the finest work from U.S.-based entertainment reporters and editors, as well as theater, film and television critics across all media.
Los Angeles magazine’s print edition of “The Movie Issue: The Leading Men of 2024” (Jasmin Rosemberg, Ada Guerin, Irvin Rivera, the LA Mag Team) took the top spot for the Best Entertainment Publication, Print category.
Judges commented: “In its ‘Movie Issue,’ Los Angeles Magazine executes a thematic issue without beating the reader over the head with it. Adhering to its typical structure, the magazine touches on movie culture and the year’s “leading men” in each of its sections, such as Shop’s guide to dressing like a leading man and Eat’s analysis of the effect of the movie Sideways on wine country.
