Behind every global hit, there’s often a songwriter whose name isn’t in the spotlight—but in the case of Loud Tiger, that’s beginning to change. The solo project of Danish artist Viktoria Siff, Loud Tiger is where years of behind-the-scenes experience finally meet the raw honesty of her own voice. Born in Århus, Denmark, Viktoria spent over a decade shaping the sound of others before stepping fully into her own artistry. Her career as a songwriter and vocal coach has already left a global mark—winning a JUNO Award with JJ Wilde, achieving platinum certifications with artists like Malu Trevejo and Tiffany Young, and working alongside icons such as Alicia Keys, Macy Gray, and 5 Seconds of Summer. Now, after years between London and Los Angeles, she has returned home to Denmark with a renewed focus: creating music that is personal, heartfelt, and entirely her own.
Describing her sound as a blend of Americana, pop, and Scandinavian country, Loud Tiger channels stories of resilience, love, and hope into songs that feel both uplifting and moving. Her stage name reflects her personality—“Loud” for her boldness, and “Tiger” for her connection to Tigger from Winnie the Pooh, whose bouncy optimism mirrors her own spirit. Beyond playful energy, there’s also depth: much of her recent work was born out of grief after losing her mother, an experience that reshaped her creativity and gave her music new emotional weight.
Her new single, “Thirsty”, captures the frustrations and humor of modern dating, turning heartbreak into something fun and defiant rather than despairing. It’s a song that perfectly represents her approach to songwriting: honest, catchy, and full of strength. With plans for a full album in 2026 and ambitions to tour beyond Denmark, Loud Tiger is ready to step from the background into center stage.
In this exclusive interview with InMusic, she opens up about her journey, her creative process, and the personal experiences that inspire her music.
How would you describe your music?
Honest, uplifting, fun and moving.
Why did you choose Loud Tiger as your stage name and what does this name mean to you?
I had been working as a songwriter for so many years and needed to feel some sort of switch from that role to being the artist. Me and my producer Sune Haansbæk decided on Loud Tiger. Loud… because I can be;) And Tiger… which is really “tigger” from winnie the pooh. I feel like he is my spirit animal. Bouncy, happy, wants everybody to play with him… but when the others don’t want to… he can get really depressed. Hahaha. I just felt a connection;)
You’ve had an extraordinary career behind the scenes — from winning a JUNO with JJ Wilde to working with Alicia Keys and touring with 5 Seconds of Summer. How has that experience shaped the artist you are today?
I treat my artistry with the same perfectionism that I apply to all my other endeavours. I have loved being able to both coach and write songs for/with some of the biggest people in the industry. But of course my expectations for the outcome have had to be lowered as I am an independent artist with no real budget. I just do it for the love.
After years in London and Los Angeles, you’ve returned to Denmark to focus fully on your own music. How has being back home influenced your writing and creative direction?
Honestly I was at the top of my writing game in LA when covid hit the world. I actually only left because my mother fell ill with Cancer:( Then I got stuck in Denmark and couldn’t re-enter the US. After her passing I didn’t want to go back. Releasing my own music was something I did to process her illness and my being back here after 12 years. I hadn’t planned on it. It just happened.
Can you tell us about your new single “Thirsty”?
Thirsty is about a hopeless romantic who keeps meeting people who are only thirsty for “one thing.”
What inspired you to write this song, and how much of it comes from your own experience?
Dating is exhausting and I have written multiple songs about the subject;) lol. Looking for “the one” isn’t easy in today’s tinder world 😉
I think I just started writing this after the last heartbreak. But I wanted to make it fun and uplifting.. no way was it gonna break me !
What’s next for Loud Tiger?
Uhhh Sune Haansbaek and I have so many songs in the making right now. I’m very excited. An album in 2026 or maybe even 2 😉 And then a DK tour to follow that up 🙂 I would love to tour outside of Denmark. Know a good booker?
What is a message you would like to give through your music and why?
Never give up. No matter how bad things may seem… it is always just a phase and it will pass. Gather all of your strength and keep going. I have had so much hardship in my life… especially with health issues and heartache. But I will always come through on the other side stronger and happier than before. You can do it too!!
Is there anything else you’d like people to know?
Well… I would just love to hear from you if you connect with my music. Please write me a message on instagram:) Thank you for your support. It means the world 🙂
