Madonna will drop a new dance album in 2026 while rejoining Warner Records nearly two decades after she left the label. The seven-time Grammy winner began her career with Warner and spent 25 years with the label, according to a release from the singer and the record label.

“From being a struggling artist in New York City to signing a record deal to release just three singles it seemed at the time my world would never be the same again and in fact that couldn’t have been truer,” Madonna said in a statement included in a release reflecting on her early years with the label.

“I am happy to be reunited and look forward to the future, making music, doing the unexpected while perhaps provoking a few needed conversations,” she continued.

The singer’s new album, set to arrive in 2026, will mark her first studio album in seven years. She will team up with DJ Stuart Price for the project, according to the release.

According to the release, the latest project is expected to be a follow up to Madonna’s hit 2005 project “Confessions on a Dance Floor,” which Price and Madonna worked on together.

That album, which was released under Warner, captivated audiences with energizing dance music and saw impressive commercial success.

Madonna’s last studio album — “Madame X” — came out in 2019.

Tom Carson and Aaron Bay-Schuck, co-chairmen of Warner Records, reflected on Madonna’s return, stating in the release, “This signing represents a historic, full circle moment, one that brings her back to the label where it all began and reaffirms her unparalleled influence, setting the stage for an exciting new era of creativity and impact.”

“Almost 2 decades later – And it Feels like home with Warner Records! Back to music, Back to the Dance Floor Back to where it all began! COADF- P. 2 🪩 2026,” Madonna wrote on Instagram.

In May of last year, Madonna concluded her “Celebration Tour,” which celebrated four decades of Madonna’s hits. Her closing show at Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana Beach drew 1.6 million fans– a record for a stand-alone show, according to tour organizer Live Nation.

The pop music legend has been nominated for 28 Grammy Awards.

Her seventh and most recent Grammy came in 2008, when she won best long form music video for “The Confessions Tour.”
