A former Married At First Sight contestant has admitted she is ‘scared of dating’ as she dropped a major spoiler about her current reality TV venture.
Amy Kenyon rose to prominence on the Channel 4 dating programme MAFS UK after being paired with Luke Debono. The couple’s time together was marked by constant conflict, ultimately leading Amy to end their marriage.
In a memorable vow renewal ceremony that became somewhat notorious, Amy appeared dressed entirely in black and told Luke directly that their marriage was “done, dead, deceased.” She informed her shocked husband: “I came into this experiment knowing exactly what I wanted, and I’m leaving this experiment knowing exactly what I do not want.”
Though that chapter ended, Amy hasn’t given up on finding romance through television, joining the cast of Paramount+’s latest Celebrity Ex on the Beach series. She appears alongside fellow reality personalities including Coronation Street’s Helen Flanagan, Love Is Blind UK’s Freddie Powell and John Grimes from Jedward.

The fourth series launched on March 31 with fresh episodes dropping every Tuesday, leading up to the scheduled finale on June 2. According to the official description: “This season, temperatures rise as eight single celebrities touch down on the stunning shores of Tenerife in search of love but as ever, their exes are waiting in the wings, ready to crash the party.”
Yet Amy has inadvertently disclosed a significant spoiler regarding the programme, sharing details about her current romantic situation through an Instagram Stories post responding to a follower’s message, reports the Mirror.
After opening the floor to her followers with an “ask me anything” invitation, one admirer enquired: “Are you single? If not, do u wanna go on a date.”

Amy responded candidly, confirming: “I am still single, yes.” She went on to elaborate: “Still an avoidant, still scared of dating so thank you, but no. I know what I want and what I deserve. I’m not interested in casual dating, I’m old now.”
She further elaborated: “I always put all of my eggs in one basket and I am really happy at the minute just taking each day as it comes. Trusting the universe knows what’s best for me, and not putting any pressure on myself.”
It appears Amy’s search for lasting romance on Celebrity Ex on the Beach proved fruitless, despite forming connections with Too Hot To Handle’s Chase DeMoore and former Love Island contestant Curtis Pritchard, both of whom had shown a keen interest in the MAFS star.
New episodes of Celebrity Ex on the Beach air Tuesdays on Paramount+. Meanwhile all episodes of MAFS UK can be streamed on Channel 4’s catch-up service.
