Mariah Carey is sharing a brilliant clothing hack.
On Sunday, May 31, the singer, 57, stepped out for dinner with Kris Jenner in Santa Monica, Calif. For the occasion, Carey opted for a glamorous white gown with a keyhole cutout.
The Schiaparelli design, which retails for $8,300, features a gold chain that attaches to the bottom of the skirt. On the brand’s website, the look is styled with the model holding the chain wrapped around her wrist, lifting the skirt slightly.
Carey, however, took things a step further. Rather than hold onto the chain, she wore it around her neck so it doubled as a necklace while also preventing the dress from dragging on the ground.
The star also added a pair of gold strappy sandals and wore her blonde hair long and straight.
Carey posed for photos with Jenner, 70, who wore a long, double-breasted red coat and matching red trousers.

Carey recently celebrated her twins’ 15th birthday.
On Thursday, April 30, the Grammy winner shared posts on Instagram in honor of twins Moroccan and Monroe. In her post, the two siblings could be seen on either side of their mom, smiling as they wore T-shirts that read “Rocky & Roe 15th Birthday” with the Disney logo on them.
The proud mom also included a video of her kids in front of their birthday cakes. She captured Monroe and Moroccan as they blew out their birthday candles. “Happy Birthday, Roc & Roe!!!! 🎉🎁 I love you so much ❤️ Mom,” Carey wrote.
“I love you mom! ❤️,” Monroe wrote in the comments. “Love you mom, im so grateful ❤️🫂,” Moroccan added.
Carey shares the twins with ex-husband Nick Cannon.

In Cannon’s post, the dad of 12 shared a video of a second birthday party for the twins. Cannon showered his oldest kids with gold confetti as the two got ready to blow out the candles on their birthday cakes. He also included scenes from their visit to Six Flags Magic Mountain.
“Got two 15 year olds on my hands now!!!! Happy Birthday to my first firstborns!” Cannon wrote in his post. “I thank God and you for allowing me to be your Dad! I love you Roc and Roe! Happy Birthday! 🥳🎢 @sixflagsmagicmountain.”
