After completing nearly two full weeks of release in theaters worldwide, director Emerald Fennell‘s controversial new film, Wuthering Heights, is all set to pass the $200 million mark at the worldwide box office. The movie has made the most of its divisive reviews, recouping its reported $80 million budget in its opening weekend alone. It has since doubled that number, but will have to hit at least $350 million worldwide to break even. In addition to the $80 million spent on its production, the movie reportedly required another $100 million for marketing. This was part of the deal that star Margot Robbie, as co-producer, struck with Warner Bros. when she chose its lower bid over Netflix‘s.
