Shreveport’s Max Chambers returned home Wednesday and was surprised by a crowd of his family, teachers and other supporters after his appearance in “The Voice” finale.
Chambers, 14, said he was honored by Shreveport’s recognition and is excited for whatever God has in store for him next.
“All of it was such a great experience,” Chambers said. “If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that stardom is great, but being a good person with stardom is the goal.”
Chambers placed fifth in “The Voice” finale after being eliminated and then brought back as a “Wildcard” because of a fan vote. He said that singing “Blue Christmas” by Elvis Presley during the finale with his coach, Michael Bublé, was one of his favorite moments.
