A source has claimed Meghan Markle is wary about engaging in peace talks with the royal family, despite Prince Harry’s recent reunion with King Charles.
The Duke of Sussex spent almost an hour with his father in what was their first meeting in 19 months. Speculation has been rife that it could be the start of a full royal family reunion, but it’s believed Meghan has some conditions that would need to be met.
A source claims the King has drawn up a plan to set clear terms for any future working agreement between the Sussexes and the royal family. The claims come as Meghan has been spending time in Paris for Fashion Week.
Charles’ alleged plans would set a clear guide for how Meghan and Harry would engage with official royal events, as well as outline expectations around privacy.
The source claimed, “The king wants to establish a clear framework to prevent any future confusion. The priority is safeguarding the institution above all else.”
Meghan and Harry have been estranged from the royal family for years. They stepped down as senior royals in 2020 before starting a new life together in Montecito, California.
Tensions worsened between the Sussexes and the royal family when the couple shared some shocking allegations in their interview with Oprah Winfrey and their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan. Harry’s memoir, Spare, also deepened the rift.
