Meghan Markle is working hard to be seen as a star in the fashion industry. A source told RadarOnline that she is “desperate” to create a big brand name for herself. The source said, “This is Meghan in full rebrand mode. She’s desperate to be seen as a serious fashion and lifestyle figure—not a failed Netflix star or a sidelined royal. She’s been pushing hard to secure a Vogue platform where she can write about empowerment, sustainability, and style, while subtly promoting her upcoming clothing range.”
Meghan Markle was also spotted meeting with Chloe Malle, the American Vogue editor. Their meeting at the Whitby Hotel in Manhattan, as sources called it, was a “strategic” one.
The 44-year-old is reportedly convinced that getting into the fashion industry is her “strongest card right now.” According to an insider, “She’s convinced this could be her Anna Wintour moment – the comeback she needs after the backlash over her cookery series. She knows the Vogue name carries weight and wants to align herself with that authority. Meghan feels fashion is her strongest card right now.”
Earlier this year, Markle also attended the Balenciaga show during the Paris Fashion Week. Italian designer Pierpaolo Piccioli mentioned during an interview that the British royal family member invited herself to the show.
By attending the runway show and meeting with the Vogue editor, it seems like Meghan Markle is now leaving no stone unturned in rebranding herself.
