As Meghan Markle attends Paris Fashion Week, marking her first trip to Europe in three years, her style has been monochrome and carefully curated.

The Duchess of Sussex made her first appearance at Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2026 womenswear showcase on Saturday evening, in an all white outfit with a later appearance seeing her in all black. The classic monochrome style was a favourite of Princess Diana’s, who was known for her simple but elegant wardrobe choices including her all black ‘revenge dress.’

The carefully curated wardrobe sees the Duchess of Sussex joining other celebrities at Paris Fashion Week including Kim Kardashian and Anne Hathaway.

One of Meghan’s notable looks including an all white scarf coat outfit, which was a custom piece from Balenciaga, made by designer Pier Paolo Piccioli, who is also Meghan’s friend.

A spokesman for Meghan told PEOPLE, “She has long admired [Pier Paolo’s] craftsmanship and modern elegance, and tonight was no different. This evening reflects the culmination of many years of artistry and friendship, reflected in her support for his new creative chapter at Balenciaga.”

According to the publication, the pair have worked together closely over the years and often ‘collaborate’ on designs for “key moments.”

The appearance also comes as Meghan was spotted sharing an affectionate hug with iconic Vogue editor Anna Wintour at the event, putting to bed the rumors of a ‘feud’ in recent years.

In footage shared on X, the Duchess was captured inquiring about Wintour’s wellbeing, with the fashion mogul replying it was, “Nice to see you.” The pair exchanged cheek kisses before Wintour examined Meghan’s attire and grinned, “Beautiful, Cherie. You look amazing.”

This heartwarming interaction appears to have silenced persistent rumors of a rift between the two, following supposed behind-the-scenes tension at Vogue regarding Meghan’s alleged “demands.”

The Duchess assumed the position of guest editor for a British Vogue edition in 2019, which vanished from newsstands within just 10 days, becoming the publication’s most rapidly purchased issue ever.

The Forces for Change edition allegedly involved Meghan investing seven months collaborating intensively with former Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, producing an issue that honored remarkable, trailblazing women. However, Meghan’s alleged “demands” to the Vogue editorial team reportedly caused a rift between her and Enninful.
