If being mocked for her International Women’s Day Instagram post wasn’t enough, Meghan Markle is now being slammed for yet another reason.

Prince Harry and Meghan are due to fly to Australia for another unofficial royal tour next month, which, as you can imagine, they are also receiving backlash for. And one event Meghan is said to be hosting herself is already causing a lot of drama on social media…

Meghan Markle To Charge $2K For VIP Tickets To Her ‘Girls’ Weekend Retreat’ In Sydney

According to reports, the former Suits actress, 44, will host an event being branded as a ‘Girls’ Weekend’ retreat at Sydney’s InterContinental Hotel between April 17th and April 19th. And most shockingly of all, tickets will reportedly set fans back $2K if they want the VIP experience.

The With Love, Meghan star is expected to speak at a gala dinner, which all ticket holders will be able to attend. Those with VIP tickets will reportedly get front-row seats to watch her speak, as well as be included in a group photo with her – not even individual photos!

Internet Reactions

As expected, the internet had plenty to say about the event. Some people slammed Meghan as a “grifter,” while others accused her of “trading” on her royal title – something they claimed the late Queen Elizabeth II would not have approved of!

“Here’s Meghan using all the titles, even the ones for the imaginary phantom surrogate born children to bring more appeal to an already expensive retreat weekend. This is exactly what Queen Elizabeth DID NOT WANT,” slammed one X user, alongside a description of the retreat.

A second wrote: “Meghan Markle is selling tickets for her tacky weekend retreat. She is trading on her Duchess title, throwing in Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie to add to the royal connection. What are the Royal Family going to do to stop this?”

A third begged: “@RoyalFamily please save the Commonwealth and take decisive action by 1) limit Line of Succession to only the Heir and his Heirs. 2) all titles and other benefits are to be used by Working Royals only as a part of doing their job. Discard birthright/blood prince nonsense.”

“Don’t let her grift Australia! She wasn’t even bothered to visit for 7yrs. Losers!” exclaimed a fourth, as a fifth added: ” If you’re forking out money to listen to her grift that’s on you #Australia but your tax dollars are funding her visit.”

Others compared the situation to the former Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, with a sixth person writing: “She’s so wanted the Diana connection in print, yet Ferkle is trending. She’s more like Fergie than ever and I’m here for it.” “That was obvious years ago! Markle is way worse than Fergie tho,” wrote a seventh, as an eighth added: “X working royals just love monetizing off the backs of their titles, I would imagine Fergie is giving Megsy tips on how to work it.”

Instagram Reactions

Instagram had plenty to say too. “Feel so sorry for down under,” wrote one Instagram user. “I wish she wouldn’t,” declared a second, as a third added: “Geez some people are desperate.”

“Please stay away. It’s a private money grab nothing more. She’s a disgrace,” slammed a fourth, as a fifth echoed: “Please stay away, you have nothing to offer.” “We don’t want you here,” concurred a sixth.

“I’m SO sick of her,” a seventh chimed in. “What does she have to say?” asked an eighth, adding: “Nonsense to be polite… I’d rather give my money [to] charity.” “This is repugnant, more word salad from the grifter,” wrote a ninth, as a tenth said: “She is irrelevant.”

“No intelligence not a woman of substance,” criticized an eleventh, as a twelfth asked: “Who [would] be crazy to pay to see that?” “Who the [expletive] signed her up for this?” questioned a thirteenth, as a fourteenth claimed: “No one I know in Australia likes her. But would love to see real royals, like Princess Catherine and Prince William.”
