Driven by churning instrumentation and McBryde’s unmistakable vocal grit, the song wrestles with the choices that shape a life. “What If We Don’t” leans into the tension between risk and regret, urging listeners to confront the leaps of faith that define who we become.
McBryde wrote the track alongside Terri Jo Box and Randall Clay. The idea came together during a late-night conversation around a fire pit. “It’s about the leaps of faith that you do or don’t take, and having to learn to live with those consequences either way,” McBryde explains.
The song arrives with a striking music video directed by Brandon Campbell. Inspired by a true story, the visual unfolds as a flashback during an EMDR therapy session, tracing a deeply emotional narrative centered on young love, friendship, and the weight of life-altering decisions.
